It’s totally normal to snaps multiple photos that looks almost the same, intending to choose the best at a latter time. However, we often end up having headache with hundreds of photos that look too similar and eventually confused which is the best!
Manually searching and selecting are time consuming and our eyes may not be able to spot the best one. We can use application that can do the job for us, by scanning for the same or similar photos. Afterwards, the best is recommended with the option to delete the rest, thus saving us a great time on narrowing the best photo to print a photo book.

Applications according your Platform
Windows: AlldupThe easiest way to sort out photos generally, is based on the date & time taken, from the earliest to the latest.
At every time interval, we could only capture specific subjects and landscape, thus at a different point of time, we will only be having certain subject and location in our photograph. Sorting by time will also automatically sort out the photos based on these criteria.
It will be easier to move on to the next steps from here!
Tips:
to make it more organized and manageable, create folders based on day or location, and move all your relevant photos into their own folder category. It can be done in your desktop or in drive storage environment. For phone users, we recommend organizing your photos in the drive storage.
At this moment, your photos are generally quite organized!
The applications that you have used previously clean up duplicates or similar photos aren’t perfect. There could be some photos that are quite blurred due to motion, or taken in a poor lighting condition.
These photos do not appear crisp on printing and is not recommended, you should move into a special folder for these category of photos, or to delete it if you have no intention to keep it.
Tips: try zoom in the photo as sometimes it appear crisp but in 1.5x to 2x zooming, will render it absolutely blurred. These photos could be used, but you shall make sure it will be printed small in dimension within a photo book.
Firstly, how do you know which will be your favorite photo?
Although it is very subjective, as we are wired in a different way. This is the key, we are different, thus scan your photos, and detect the one that caught your attention. These photos are the one likely to reflect your style, and spark emotion.
If you dwell too long on eye-scanning the photo, you are more likely to be confused. At this stage you have pretty much have filtered out the low quality images, thus you are no longer required to scrutinize the photo quality.
Now, most of your photos are organized and of high quality, but you may not want to print all of it in your photo book. At this stage you may still have a couple hundreds of photos!
To help you on this, there is a basic function that you may have overlook, but at your disposal.
In your phone is rather easy, just tap on the favorite [love icon] button. These are available on both iOS & Android phone image gallery.
In Google drive, you could easily add the photo into the starred category
In iCloud photos, just click on the [love icon] on the photos toolbar, and it will be marked as favorites.
In windows desktop environment.
You may create a new folder to keep a copy of all your favorite photos, without removing it from the original location.
Once all your photos are already well organized, you may already start thinking what kind of photo book to make, as you may not want to print all the photos.
Pick few or one suitable category or theme for your photo book, such as accorded to the place, subject and time the photos are taken. Do keep it relevant, as you may not want to include photos in other category and theme that doesn’t fit.
Example: page 1-10 could be printed with photos from Paris, while page 11-20 photos from Versailles. This is easy as all the photos already categorized according to time and locations without the bad quality shots
Down to this stage, you pretty much keep your photos very well organized!
Being a photo book maker, we are aware that even at this stage, you may still have few hundreds of photos.
Firstly, check on your photos in the favorite list, and if it has already amounted to a hundred, you could probably just upload photos from this category will suffice.
Else, you could upload more from the relevant category or theme of photos.
Try to avoid uploading as many photos as possible. Having too many photos in our online editor, will only caused confusion on which to use. Photo selection is best to made before the upload.
At the moment, we do not support direct photo upload from icloud and google drive. You can easily download all the needed photos to your local storage, then upload into our online editor.
Yes, the system has an algorithm to detect photo with possible less than satisfactory quality. However, it is not to be use as a sole mean to detect these photos. I shall be properly filtered out prior uploading to our online editor. Low quality photos will be highlighted with a red alert icon.

It will be be kept for 45 days from your last edit, which is sufficient for most user to design a photo book. If you need more time to design your book, just logon into the editor and click the save button at the top right corner. The 45 days will be reset, as your last edit time and date has changed to the concurrent one.
Yes, we do custom stamping/deboss, just send us the .png file of the design. However, we will access the design to determine the stamping feasibility. Lines that are too thin below 3mm or design that are too complex may not be suitable for stamping or deboss.
No! there will no flipchap logo in your photo book, photo album and handmade boxes.

HD flushmount album is printed with Archival Ink printed by HD Inkjet HP DesignJet Z9, while other Layflat Photo album and Photo book are printed digitally by bizhub PRO C71hc-Konica Minolta.
Of course, the one with highest resolution with least processing. Our editor allows large file to be uploaded and store in our server without any size limit and time frame. What you see is what you get, if you uses photos that are grainy or blurry due to mechanical handling or editing, the print will reflect on that as well. Photo with low resolution and small sizes may not appear sharp in print neither.
Since all our products are handmade, generally, in non peak season it may take up to (1) week time, but during peak season it may take up to (2) weeks time. Customization with Custom logo or special requested design for Stamping/Deboss, will take another extra of (2) weeks time on top of the aforementioned timeline.
