Why Monitor Calibrating is important for Photographers

Having your monitor properly calibrated is important for all photographers, even if you do not offer printing the images for your clients. Pictures can vary in how they are seen between monitor to monitor and especially through the process of printing a photo book.

For example a wedding photo of the bride and groom together during a vibrant sunset can look stunning on your monitor but if your monitor is calibrated differently, it can be viewed by another monitor or in prints as pale and dull. We want to help you to avoid having photos looking over-saturated or not being the correct tone that you were going for. Having a ‘cool’ or ‘warm’ display can completely change how your image will look to others and how it gets printed. Calibrating your monitor to match our images will enable your whole printing process to go as smoothly as possible.

STEP 4/ Advanced Calibrating

For those who are familiar with their monitor, we also advise that you adjust the RED, GREEN, and BLUE color settings to get your monitor as close as possible to the images.
- You can find these settings under the COLOR settings from your main MENU.
- Do not adjust the COLOR TONE as this will change the settings for your BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST that you have done earlier.
